Threshing the Rice

Today was rice threshing day (I am not sure if thresh is the right verb. I mean remove the rice kernels from the plant). It actually has been going on for about a week and will last another week but today was the day for our field. Instead of one family doing the threshing all the neighbors will get together and help. Renting the machinery costs money so if you can do it faster then you will save money. Everyone helps their neighbors so that everyone can save. After it was done we had a great dinner, Mongolian hot pot. Along with the hotpot we had the most delicious fish I think I have ever eaten, 红烧盼头鱼(spicy fat head fish, I think it was some type of bass.)

Bye Bye Chickens

Little do the happy chickens know that tomorrow they will be sold for roasting. I weep for the little chickens but my stomach is happy because tomorrow we will eat jiaozi to celebrate their sale.
